Stitch Fix inspiration can hit anywhere.  A few weeks ago, it hit in the kindergarten pick-up line where I spotted the most splendid pair of golden-amber jeans on a fellow Mom.  A few days later this image ⬇️ popped up on SF’s Instagram feed (a perfect Pin for my Stitch Fix πŸ’œ Board).

Both the real-life inspo βž• “Pin”spo made writing a note to my Stitch Fix stylist easy!  Ready to see my first Fall Fix of 2018?  Let’s get to the goods…

LooC #1–Madewell + Calvin Klein

Kimberly answered my request for mustard-colored jeans with these Madewell Button Front High Rise skinnies. I have never tried Madewell denim before.  But, after trying this pair from Stitch Fix #55, I am forced to reexamine all my life choices to this point.  πŸ€ͺ Let’s hear it for incredible quality and incredible fit, y’all!  Even though I’m not crazy for the button fly, that detail was overshadowed by fit and quality.  The premium Madewell brand comes with a premium price tag.  But, as Kimberly wrote in her note, Madewell’s timeless quality makes them investment-worthy.

What do you all think of the color?  One of my friends deemed them my pumpkin spice jeans πŸŽƒ.

Fit:  TTS

Price: $$$ (quality quality quality)

Verdict:  Keep

Since I asked Kimberly to style Stitch Fix #55 as a mini Fall capsule, she sent several tops to complement my “pumpkin spice” jeans, including this Calvin Klein Dustin Roll Sleeve Blouse.

Just like the little black dress πŸ‘—, every closet also needs a little black blouse πŸ‘š.  This Calvin Klein blouse is surprisingly thick, but still has a great amount of stretch.  The thicker material means this blouse is not sheer, so no cami required!

Fit:  TTS (stretchy material that won’t bag out with wear)

Price: $$

Verdict: Keep

LooC #2–Market & Spruce

Next out of the box was this adorable Market & Spruce Ayesha Cotton Blend Textured Pullover

I was smitten with every detail of this Market & Spruce Ayesha Cotton Blend Textured Pullover–from its slightly oversized fit, to its super soft feel, and its just-right black & white stripes.  Initially, I thought the pullover was too big.  (Cue obsessive checking with Stitch Fix for an exchange).  No smaller sizes came available, however, so I opted to keep the size Kimberly sent and embrace the generous fit.  I mean, really, what says Fall 🍁 more than leggings, tall boots, and an oversized sweater?

Fit:  Oversized (size down if you prefer a closer fit)

Price: $$

Verdict:  Keep

LooC #3–Kensie

Since Kimberly totally gets my love of athleisure, she sent this Kensie Mally Space Dye Ponte Jacket.  This jacket could easily work as a cover-up to and from yoga , or a casual jacket over  jeans and a long sleeve tee.

Even though the versatility and style of this jacket are totally my speed, the material lacked the soft coziness I crave.  Since I already own several similar wrap sweaters, I knew I could send the Kensie back with no regrets.

Fit:  TTS

Price: $$

Verdict: 🚫 Return 🚫

LooC #4–Madewell + Kut from the Kloth

The final piece in Fix #55 was this chunky Kut from the Kloth Aroabeth Turtleneck Sweater

Straight out of the box, I was sure this would be an easy return.  But, as luck would have it, this became the piece I debated about the most!  It had so many good qualities about it.  First (and most surprising) it was NOT itchy.  Second, its on-trend design.  Third, its flattering fit despite the boxy cut.  Fourth–as you might imagine–its incredible warmth.

I found this similar style at Aerie for a bargain, which persuaded me to not keep the KTFK sweater.  Pardon me while I kick myself for this silly decision πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ.

Fit:  TTS (oversized but not frumpy at all)

Price: $$$ (surprisingly high $90 price tag)

Verdict: 🚫  Return 🚫
