In the spirit of looking ahead to warm, sunny weather and festive, outdoor celebrations, Stitch Fix #49 was devoted to summer wear.
This Fix matched me with new (to me) stylist, Rebecca. If you’re keeping score, that’s a total of 4 different stylists since switching from my usual girl, Sabrina, back in January. I was nervous to leave Sabrina (obviously…since I spent over 40 Fixes with her!) I must admit, I’m having fun with this round robin game of style! It is always interesting to see each stylist’s unique interpretations and their use of my Pinterest boards to create a totally personalized Fix!
Have you tried Stitch Fix, yet? Please use my personalized link to automatically receive a $25 credit when you schedule your first Fix!
And, guess what? A few of my favorite Blogger Babes and I want to give you even MORE $$!!! We have partnered for a fantastic prize to one of my all-time fave stores (hint…it’s also a close relative of Stitch Fix).
⚠️ Please Note: GIVEAWAY CLOSED 7/7/2018 ⚠️ Now…on to the goods!!
LooC #1–Bshop + Young and Margaret M
Rebecca started this Fix off with an unexpected combo. The Margaret M Lea Printed shorts–just like the brand’s famed slacks–had all the stretch a girl could hope for plus this sweet, floral print. Unfortunately, the leg opening was much too fitted for my thighs. They felt (and looked) more like bicycle shorts than casual shorts.
Verdict: Return
The first detail I noticed about the Bishop + Young Ellenita Lace Off-The-Shoulder Top was its length. Or, rather, it’s LACK of length. As I feared, when I tried it on, my midriff was out for the world to see. I had to tug it down pretty far just to get a pic I was comfortable to share. 😳 I appreciate Rebecca’s attempts to keep me young and sassy, but–aside from pools & workouts–I’m simply not a midriff-baring kinda Mama. Maybe when I rediscover my abs, it’ll be a different story! Haha. If you like lace and a breeze on your belly button, then this top is a must for your next Fix.
Verdict: Return (commencing crunches now…)
LooC #2–Supply & Demand and MZ Wallace Tote
Once, again, Rebecca had the best of intentions with these picks. She sent the Supply & Demand Chalina Cotton Top after noticing a floral trend on my Stitch Fix Pinterest boards. The blue stripes were cute. The florals were kind of cute. But the cut of this sleeveless button down killed it for me. While the Ellenita Lace top felt too young and flashy for me, this Chalina top felt much too aged and conservative.
Verdict: Return.
Rebecca also sent this MZ Wallace Medium Metro Tote for me to try as a thoughtful response to my note requesting a light blue MZ Wallace. Sadly, Rebecca said light blue was not in their inventory, so she sent me this navy blue/black colorblock option. It is a great bag. I love the easy-to-clean nylon material and quilted pattern. But, I totally had my heart set on a light, sky blue color (do a quick Google search for “Harbor Blue,” and you’ll see why…it’s gorgeous!) Going to hold out for that particular color before shelling out the 💵 big bucks 💵 for the MZ Wallace brand.
Verdict: Return
LooC #3–Loveappella
Don’t fret, lovelies. Stitch Fix #49 was not a complete loss. Check out Rebecca’s final pick, the Loveappella Tiah Knit Maxi Dress. The rich jewel tones of this dress gave me good vibes straight away. And the fit…oh my goodness…let’s all take a second to appreciate the fit of Loveappella maxis. Loveappella truly has a knack for fitting us shorties. This maxi was the PERFECT length, no hemming needed! A maxi dress that does NOT drag on the ground when you’re only 5′ 4″??!! What the what??!! And I’m hopeful that the stretchy (yep, there’s that word again), jersey knit will wash well.
Verdict: KEEP!!!!!!
Fix #49 in the books…Fix #50 in the works!
